Why Volkswagen Is Beating Tesla In Europe? (Video)


Tesla is a globally-renowned company. It vastly dominates the U.S. electric car market, and is leading on a global scale. But the situation is different in Europe. Why?

Interestingly, in Europe Tesla faces a tough competition not just from a single company, despite the fact that its Model 3 has been selling very well. In fact, there are several tough contenders in this geographical region: VW Group, Stellantis, Renault Group, Daimler, BMW group.

There are reasons why Volkswagen is strongly pushing its ‘full electric’ strategy. The company aims to have 70% of their vehicle sales in Europe in the form of EV, and their current sales results are picking up the pace accordingly. On the one hand, this strategy is a good way to regain positions lost after the infamous Dieselgate scandal. But not just that: the current transport-related regulations in Europe do not really leave other choice but to go electric.
