Can Triangular Body Armor Deflect Any Bullet? (Video)


It is fair to say that when a gun’s caliber is ‘right for the job’, it can destroy any armor. However, various types of protection against projectile impacts are vastly different in terms of their efficiency. For example, tanks use a sloped hard metal sheets to deflect rounds shot by an enemy. But would this principle work for body armor?

The main obstacle here is that humans have a limited carrying power, and therefore you cannot wrap soldiers into endless sheets of steel, or anything similar. Neither it is possible to comfortably wear a pair of plates welded in a triangular shape. But for the sake of experimentation, youtubers Ryan & David decided to test such triangular-shaped body armor against a wide assortment of handguns and rifles, including even an anti-material rifle.
